Biography
After graduating from Hope College ('21) with degrees in chemistry and Spanish, I pivoted to archaeological conservation because of my love for history. I now do experimental conservation research and have worked on a variety of exciting projects including artifacts from La Belle, the Alamo, and the gunboat Philadelphia. My biggest interest is in post-conservation problem-solving: trying to figure out what to do when artifacts have problems even after they've been conserved!
