Rosemary Achentisa Ayelazuno is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at Texas A&M University. Broadly focused on human geography, her research examines the intersections of Black geographies, food geography, and urban geography to explore how social and spatial inequalities affect food and housing systems. Utilizing a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, her work investigates how marginalized communities experience and navigate these inequalities. Her current research extends these foundations by focusing on the role of food security and resource development in fostering resilience and understanding how migration and food systems intersect within the environment to inform pathways toward social and environmental justice.
