From your first day of class, to finding your dream career field, to graduating and becoming a part of the Aggie Network, the College of Arts and Sciences supports students every step of the way!
The College of Arts & Sciences offers many majors and career pathways for tomorrow’s problem-solvers and leaders. We have a major to fit your needs–whether you want to create a sustainable future or a more just society, or you're interested in the health professions or data science, seeking the essence of humanity, or the essence of life, matter, or the universe.
Students have opportunities to perform research with world leaders in their fields investigating topics such as songbird behavior, connections between emotion regulation and cognitive flexibility, assessing the northern Gulf of Mexico’s oceanographic properties, analyzing the effects of public policy on business composition, or recovering works from ancient authors. Our goal is to provide students with high impact learning experiences inside and outside the classroom. Want more opportunities?
How about:
As a freshmen you will enroll in a Hullabaloo U course, a small class in your major which helps you acclimate to campus and your area of study, find your community, and learn about the College’s many resources available to help them succeed. First-generation students receive support from our First to Finish program, which gives students the tools and experiences to enhance their academic, career, and social success. Our Arts and Sciences Leadership Scholars program gives exceptional first-generation students high-impact opportunities and leadership training.
When coupled with any one of our wide variety of student organizations, ArtSci Aggies tackle some of the most complex challenges facing our world, and society, today as a cohort with faculty and staff support.
Whether you’re interested in exploring other cultures through one of our many Study Abroad opportunities, excited by presentations from scholars in the humanities at the Glasscock Center, seeking research opportunities funded by the National Science Foundation’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates, or want to pursue teacher certification through our Aggie TEACH program, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in the College of Arts & Sciences.
The College of Arts & Sciences teaches classes for every undergraduate major degree because we provide foundational knowledge. We are committed to ensuring all students receive a GREAT experience:
