Biography
Wan Huang is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Sociology, Texas A&M University. Concentrating on demography and deviance, she intends to examine the impact of China’s domestic migration on its society using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Her primary research interest thus far has focused on delinquency, education, family, and the empowerment of rural communities. Before making the shift to sociology, she was a graduate of journalism and documentary filmmaking from the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
