The B.S. in Environmental Studies — Geoscience explores how humans interact with the environment. You'll gain an interdisciplinary understanding of Earth's surface processes and how they are impacted by policy decisions.
You'll learn about the scientific, human-dimension and policy aspects of environmental issues facing our state and nation.
Students focus upper-division coursework in one of five environmental themes:
- Urban environment
- Occupational health and safety
- Environmental regulation and compliance
- Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST)
- Global environment
After graduation, you'll be prepared to work in regulatory agencies, industry, and non-governmental organizations to resolve problems.
