Biography

Originally from Harlingen, Texas, Robin Nelson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunication Media Studies from Texas A&M in the spring of 2022. While a student at A&M, Robin served as an Aggie Network Student Ambassador, a Peer Mentor for the Department of Communication & Journalism and as a Student Writer for the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Media & Marketing team. It was on the Corps Media & Marketing team that Robin discovered her love for telling the stories of Texas A&M’s oldest and largest student organization. 

Shortly before graduation, Robin was named to a full time position with Corps Media & Marketing, where she continues to serve as the unit’s Communications Coordinator. In this role, Robin aids in the development of strategic communications plans, writes content for use on multiple channels (to include print, digital and social media) and provides strategic direction for executive communications. Outside of these regular duties, Robin also serves the Corps as a photographer and graphic designer as needed. 

Concurrent to her work as Communications Coordinator, Robin earned a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Digital & Social Media, from Texas Tech University in the fall of 2023. 

In her free time, Robin enjoys photography, writing and spending time with her fiancé, Chris, and their two dogs, Jesse and Cinco. Though no longer a resident of the Rio Grande Valley, Robin visits her family frequently and is passionate about sharing the value of the Texas A&M experience with the area.
