Biography
Sara DiCaglio an Assistant Professor of English at Texas A&M University. Her interdisciplinary research is situated in the fields of rhetoric of health and medicine, feminist science studies, disability studies, feminist theory, and health humanities. Her work is broadly interested in the intersection between health and environment through the concept of incompletion, asking questions about when knowledge of the body’s partial relations and processes becomes a part of broader discourse about embodiment through sites such as atmospheric rhetorics, olfaction, and brain fog. She is currently working on a book project entitled Tracing Loss: Feminist Anatomies of Reproductive (Un)endings, which explores the positioning of reproductive loss in scientific and cultural definitions of pregnancy. Her teaching includes courses that explore topics such as graphic medicine, rhetoric of health and gender, pandemic writings, rhetorics of style, and writing pedagogy.
