Interactions between society and environment are at the core of many of the world's most pressing social, economic and political issues at the start of the 21st century.
Geographers in this research group use qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess political ecology and to engage in contemporary debates in critical development studies, environmental governance and environmental justice. Current projects include water and sanitation in India, water access in South Texas, land change in Brazil, and dynamic urban and global environmental modeling.
