Berlin Fall Field Trip
The Berlin Field Trip is a week-long academic enrichment program, during which students visit a variety of historical and cultural sites in and around Berlin, Germany. Through this high-impact experience, students gain an understanding of Germany’s complex historical past, cultural contributions, and important political and economic position in Europe and the world. On previous field trips, some of the places students visited were the Deutsches Historisches Museum, the German Bundestag plenary chamber, the Stasi Museum, the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, and Schloss Sanssouci in Potsdam.
Austria Hungary Jewish Studies Field Trip
The new Jewish Studies program at A&M is offering an immersive field trip that explores the historical, cultural, and religious significance of Vienna and Budapest within the context of Jewish heritage. The trip aims to deepen students’ understanding of Jewish history, traditions, and contributions to these vibrant European capitals and to present examples of innovative forms of Holocaust memorialization in Central Europe. Participants will visit important Jewish heritage sites, museums, synagogues, and engage in academic discussions to foster a holistic appreciation of the Jewish experience in Vienna and Budapest.
